Setting Sail

A tranquil moment in the Toronto harbour. There are several yacht clubs and marinas on Toronto Island. You don't have to be a member to enjoy the picturesque setting. Just hop an Island ferry to Ward's Island, and you'll be transported far away from the smog and bustle of city life. Just make sure you check the ferry schedule, so you don't miss the last boat back!

a very lovely moment indeed--have not visited Toronto properly (we drove through London, ON once, from Michigan onto Upstate NY) so it is on our list of places to see.

Hi there Toronto Team, thanks for your comment on my blog, good to see you, I sorta lost track of you for a while. Sorry to see your house demolition pics, but I assume you are building again on the same lot? So where are you living in the meantime? I know quite a few people who have taken the same route! Well, nothing is forever is it? My house is an old Victorian brick house, built c.1896.... I've been living here for 30 years, but I often wonder if it will be torn down and replaced with something more modern and more energy efficient when I finally decide to sell.
