Hughs's Room

Hugh's Room in Toronto's west end, is an accoustic music institution. You can have a simple meal in the dining room and watch some of the greatest folk and roots music around. They showcase young up-and-comers as well as music industry veterans. Tonight, I had the good fortune to watch Kathryn Rose, an amazing singer-songwriter with the voice of an angel. She writes the most achingly beautiful and ironic lyrics. She was part of the Bluebird North showcase, which promotes Canadian songwriters.

Looks like a "secret" photo. Hope our intrepid blogger didn't risk getting arrested sneaking the picture!

Sorry about the grainy photo, Murrayck, it was an accident, but I kind of like the "noir-ish" quality, given the nightclub setting.
