Happy Birthday...

to ME!!!!

So...I am another year older and on the occasion of my birthday, here are some random thoughts on ageing:

The man who views the world at fifty the same as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life." (Mohammad Ali)

Old age is like climbing a mountain. You climb from ledge to ledge. The higher you get, the more tired and breathless you become, but your views become more extensive. (Ingmar Bergman)

You know you're getting old when you stop to tie your shoes and wonder what else you can do while you're down there. (George Burns)

People like you and I, though mortal of course like everyone else, do not grow old no matter how long we live...[We] never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born. (Albert Einstein in a letter to Otto Juliusburger)

Sorry.... you didn't actually state your age, I got the notion of 50 years from Mohammed Ali's quote.... so you're really 29! hooray!

A day late, but many happy returns. I especially like Einstein's quote.
