This Ain't the Rosedale Library is one of the few remaining independant booksellers in Toronto, and a true throwback to an era before globalization ruled the world. Visiting this narrow store is like visiting a friend who always has interesting books lying all around in a controlled clutter. It is harder and harder for these small operators to compete with the big box chain stores, yet I often find a level of customer service that the big stores just don't offer.

Not many of those small shops left now that Chapters and Indigo have taken over. Too bad.
Like the notion of blogging itself, it appeals to one's independent nature...
Looks like the kind of store I'd love to visit. We have one here in Guelph that is still independent as well. Must get a photo of it.
