I guess the city has had some problems with copper theft! After all that trouble, nice of the electrical company officials to warn theives not to bother. If it ain't nailed down, it gets stolen!
Unfortunately, there is a problem with copper theft here in the States. Most homes in this area have furnaces/AC units outside, and thieves have broken into the units to take the copper pipes and wiring. In new construction areas, contractors have to lock up the copper pipes and wires or risk theft. Ridiculous, isn't it?
I work in the entertainment industry in Toronto. My 2 kids are grown and I'm enjoying empty nesting with my hubby. My latest pursuits are travel, cooking, designing my new house, photography, exploring Toronto and planning my yearly trip to France. I am passionate about the arts, politics, food and wine and anything French. My goal this year is to join a choir.

Well noted! The sign is sort of amusing. The reason why it has to be there, much less.
when i have my own diamond mine someday i will post a sign just like that hehe.
Well thats a sign you don't see everyday! Great observation. Thanks for the nice comment over at Toruń DP!

i guess by posting up that sign they are just inviting more theft... the theft would like to prove if the copper is really valuable or not =)
Wide on!
